Yesterday (10/3/12) I had the day off from work and school along with two of my friends. We decided to take a trip up to Kingdom Trails in East Burke, VT. The weather didn't corporate with us and we knew this a couple days prior, since all three of us rarely have a whole day off together we said were not canceling 30% change of rain never hurt anyone. Needles to say after 20 minutes of riding we were covered in mud and soaking wet. Honestly is doesn't even matter, the trails at Kingdom are so worth riding in the sun, rain, snow and in a hurricane (hurricane in VT??). We ended up riding 16 miles, I think I fell off only 3 or 4 times, not too bad for slippery and muddy conditions! The more important part is that none of us got hurt or broke any parts on our bike!
I felt bad for my friend Sean, it was his first time riding at Kingdom. I was telling him how fun, fast and smooth all the trails are. When the trails are wet they are not fast or smooth, but they are fun! I told Sean we will plan another trip next spring when it is dry so he can experience the speed of the trails, he had a blast even though it was soaking wet.
I put a link to KT at the bottom of the post.
Here is the Jeep all loaded with our bikes! Sad part-> 17.5 MPG with all the wind drag :(
